Job Summary:

The IOT Testing Summer Student role consists of performing tests at the Montreal or Granby laboratory (remotely and on-site as needed). This role is ideal for students with a strong interest in cellular communications and radio propagation, providing hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform lab tests on various IoT devices. 
  • Collect and analyze data related to cellular communications and radio propagation in the field.
  • Use programming tools (e.g. Python) for processing, visualizing, and interpreting data. 
  • Participate in the installation, configuration and maintenance of test equipment. 
  • Document results and contribute to technical reports. 
  • Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve anomalies.

Assume any related responsibilities.

COMPETENCY PROFILE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience/Certification:

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical, telecommunications, computer engineering, or a related field.

Other Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the basic principles of cellular communications (3GPP).
  • Knowledge of programming tools for data processing (e.g., Python).
